Dope Visuals… Kendrick Lamar “ELEMENT.”

The latest visual from Kendrick’s latest project, DAMN., and I love the story that it tell. From what I could see, everyone was in a state of rage but there were instances of peace or stillness as well. Whenever Kendrick drops a visual, there’s always a dope concept involved. Shout out to the director Jonas Lindstroem.

For The Day: Rob $tone “Chill Bill”

Heard this in the barbershop a little while ago but I never knew the identity of the artist. After watching the video of XXXtentacion get the Fleetwood Mac knocked out of him onstage my curiosity lead me down a rabbit and Rob $tone’s seemed to be the source of the blame. I looked for his music on Youtube and BOOM! “Chill Bill” … Enjoy! It’s a Saturday and I got things to do.

Jay Worthy “Boomerang”

First, Jay Worthy’s recent project Fantasy Island is what I need to transition into the summer. Boomerang features Polo100 & Big Body Bes and it’s produced by The Alchemist. This is definitely a track that you cruise around the city to.

For The Day: G Perico “All Blue”

New joint from G Perico which is the first single from his upcoming album dropping via Priority Records on April 28th. His last project had jams all over it and the new album shouldn’t disappoint.

For The Day: Geechi Gotti “Gangbangaz”

I first heard of Geechi Gotti via his battles on King Of The Dot’s Youtube Channel. As a battler he’s DOPE and as a rapper – especially with this track – he definitely has potential to make his presence known on the West Coast. By the way (and this is definitely a preferential admission) but I love Gang Rap. I’m not a gang banger, gang affiliate or any like that but damn it man it seems that most of the rappers that I love listening to from the West Coast are in a gang. The production is always fire, these rappers can actually RAP and I’d rather listen to that music than what’s on the radio.

For The Day: 2 Eleven “Finessin”

“Finessin” is the latest single and visual from 2 Eleven and it’s becoming the anthem for getting through the day. When it comes to the Nine to Five, getting to money becomes the primary objective. Doesn’t matter if I like the job or not, just as long as I get by without taking an L, I’ll be alright. Mastering the art of Finessing keeps me from slacking.

For The Day: Like “Miss Me With That”

Another joint from Like’s Songs Made While High album. I slept! I didn’t know that he had a few videos out for his project. Anyway, this certainly seems to fit the vibe of the day.

Listen… Dom Kennedy x Hit-Boy “Half-A-Mil” EP

Accidental discovery. Last night, after watching a documentary about the late Brooklyn emcee Half-A-Mill titled “Player Hating: A Love Story” I went on the prowl for more of his music. I heard a few tracks with AZ quite a while ago but I wanted to reacquaint myself with his material but due to a misspelling I discovered the Half-A-Mil EP. Rapper Dom Kennedy and Rapper/Producer Hit-Boy collaborated on a 5 track EP that I can’t seem to get enough of. Sometimes accidents prove to be the most rewarding. By the way for future reference, Half-A-Mill is the BK emcee and Half-A-Mil is the title of this project that can be found on DatPiff for Free 99. Continue reading
