For The Day: Rich Homie Quan “Gamble”

It’s good to see RHQ back in the game with this new visual for “Gamble”. He’s made his rounds on the media circuit (Everyday Struggle and DJ Vlad for example) and it seems he’s preparing for a comeback of sorts and I’m all for it.

WORD! Trinidad James “Di$respectful”

I don’t care what anybody says about this cat but Trinidad James was ahead of his times ESPECIALLY with what’s popular now in Hip-Hop. Trinidad wasn’t a mumble rapper but it’s funny that he was criticized for some of the same things that people love about the new kids on the block today. “Di$respectful” is his latest single and I am digging it. Shout out to Affion Crockett for the hilarity.

For The Day: Ludacris “Saturday (Oooh! Ooooh!)”

When Ludacris dropped Word of Mouf in 2001, I was in A&R in my own mind. “Roll Out” was the lead single and the video was in heavy rotation on BET. But once the album dropped and I had time to listen to it, I KNEW what the next single would be. Whenever I’d listen to an album, I had an ear for what songs would be promoted to sell the project. As soon as I heard “Saturday (Oooh! Ooooh!)”, I knew Luda had a heater. How could you ever go wrong with a joint produced by Organized Noize?
