1. I’d like to thank the members of N.E.R.D. for my new found mantra (and future tattoo): Fly Or Die. Fly Or Die is the title of their sophomore album which had a significant presence in my collegiate life. While reading Charlemagne’s newest book Black Privilege it hit me out of nowhere. In this world it’s fly or die. Either you do or you don’t. Continue reading

@GaryVee “Move the F*ck On”

Words of wisdom on a Friday morning courtesy of Gary Vaynerchuk. He doesn’t hold his tongue in this interview with Shark Tank’s Daymond John.

@GaryVee “How I Stay Focused”

Gary and I share the same motivation. Gratitude. I’m thankful for a lot and I owe much of it to my parents and my grandparents. I was fortunate to have a foundation that was solely built upon their love and sacrifices. I can’t afford to ruin my chances at a better life. Whenever I feel a hint of self doubt, they are who I think about.

WINNING ISN’T AN OPTION… IT’S AN IMPERATIVE.

Manage Your Time Like You Manage Your $$$

video-216602

Time management requires discipline. Knowing how to budget your time will allow you to do so much your day. You’d be surprised to see how much you can actually accomplish once you cut the fat. In college, time management met it’s end at the hands of procrastination. I waited until the very last minute to finish everything. I usually received good marks but I’m sure that if I mastered how I allotted my time, I would’ve been very efficient. But now, after learning from my mistakes, I’ve decided to share a few techniques to help you through your day. Continue reading

Virgil Abloh’s Lecture @ Columbia University

Virgil Abloh has been a name that I heard of for years. He’s mostly known for being a Creative Director to Kanye West but he also has Off-White, a fashion line. My knowledge on fashion and design is pretty limited but I’m always willing to learn. I spotted this lecture over at Dazed Digital and decided to soak up a bit of game that I may not be privy to and it has already added to the way I approach creative projects.

@GaryVee “A 5 Minute Plea To Do”

Don’t Think Just Do. I always need reminders of this and hopefully in 2017, I follow through. Overthinking sucks and it’s more trouble than what it’s worth. JUST GO DO.

Makin’ Somethin’ Outta Nothin’….

Gratitude. I’m grateful for all that I have and all that I don’t have. I came to a realization a little while ago that it’s what you see but it’s how you look at it. Perception is everything. Now look, am I currently balling out of control with cash coming out of the ass? Far from it but I have dreams. Big dreams and as the good homie Hezekiah stated with his last rap album “Dreams Don’t Chase Themselves” and they DO NOT!!! Continue reading

@GaryVee “Make Positivity Louder”

More words of wisdom from the god Gary Vee! The more positivity in the world, the better! I’m tired of seeing all of the negative shit in the media take a huge shit all over my social media timelines. Day after day after day. I’d rather focus on a beautiful tomorrow than an ugly as fuck yesterday. Let’s work toward improving ourselves in every way possible.

My Favorite 50 Cent Interview of ALL TIME!!!

Before French Montana made “Pop That” and had other hits, he was known for his Cocaine City DVDs. Back in the mid 2000s, the everybody had some sort of DVD hustle going on but the most memorable series, in my opinion, were Smack and Cocaine City. Nowadays, 50 and French Montana aren’t the best of friends but back in the day they made history with this legendary interview. Besides the Fat Joe beef, which has since been squashed, 50 drops gems! Serious gems. I loved watching this whenever I needed a surge of inspiration. When it comes to business, you’d be crazy to ignore what’s he been able to do since the release of 2003’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’. He’s certified in my book.
