For The Day: A$AP Ferg “East Coast Remix”

Until A$AP Ferg drops his upcoming album Still Striving on August 18th, there are a few joints that you can get with the pre-order. The “East Coast Remix” features Busta Rhymes, A$AP Rocky, Dave East, French Montana, Rick Ross and Snoop Dogg. I’m in the process of concocting an ill work out mix and THIS HAS TO BE ON IT.

Work Harder, 2010

1. Work Hard. Play Hard. Work Even Harder. I remember the first time that I ever heard Jadakiss’s “You Don’t Eat” from his 2015 album Top 5 Dead Or Alive (T5DOA). The first voice on the record was Sean “P. Diddy” Combs and he went off on one of his legendary speeches. I call it “The Diddy Moment” and Diddy has had those “moments” on different albums throughout his career. Some are dope and wildly inspirational and others are just over the top shit talk that only Puff could deliver but the declarations on “You Don’t Eat” have always pushed me when I needed it most. For The Morning: The Diplomats “Have My Money”

Getting to the money on a Thursday morning. I have to take care of paying my taxes as soon as I can to keep Uncle Sam happy. Any year that I don’t owe the IRS is a good one.

“Hundred Miles An Hour Switchin’ Lanes Like WHOA!!!”

Bugging out on a Thursday like WHOA! One day closer to the weekend and after the grind that I’ve had… Long overdue… By The Way… I feel like Black Rob’s debut album Life Story¬†is a slept on album. Rob’s pen game is dope and if you need further¬†proof then listen to “You Don’t Know Me” and “Jasmine” from his first project.

A$AP Rocky “LSD”

I love the video because I love Japan… no more no less… But let’s be real, the visuals are pretty effing slick and it makes me want to get back into videography bag something serious.

Essential Reading Material: Frank 151 x A$AP MOB

Yo this is one of my favorite FRANK 151 magazines that will never leave my personal library. The A$AP MOB issue opened with an intro by A$AP Yams (RIP) and featured stories about Harlem’s Jazz Age, interviews with A$AP Twelvy, ILLz, Bari, FERG, and Yams himself all the while sprinkling in information about what makes Harlem so legendary. Though I wasn’t into A$AP before reading this issue, I gained a greater respect and for the collective afterwards. If you don’t have this in your collection yet, click the link below.

Summer Madness 4: Charlie Clips x T-Rex

One of the most talked about battles of Summer Madness 4… HARLEM vs HARLEM!!! I’ve waited a while for this battle and I heard Charlie won via twitter but now we have the chance to finally see it go down.
