DJ Quik’s “Visualism”

The wonderful things that you can find on YouTube is mind boggling. I didn’t even know that this existed. I searched for “Quik’s Groove” for my previous post and this appeared in the suggestion column. Quik’s “Visualism” DVD gives a look into his creative process, his tour life, collaborations with artists like Suga Free, Nate Dogg, Hi-C, and Mausberg, who died shortly after the release of Quik’s Balance & Option’s album in 2000. Rap Tour life seemed like so much fun 17 years ago. There weren’t a thousand cellphones, social media wasn’t at all what it is today. I found myself reflecting on the good ol’ days of a time that’s long gone.
