This is definitely in my top 5 favorite Polaroids that I’ve ever taken. In the Fall of 2013, Madlib and J. Rocc came to Philly for a Heineken Green Room event and it was a wild function. J. Rocc’s portion of the show was more so focused on rocking the party and he did just that. As soon as he played ODB’s “Brooklyn Zoo“, I went completely Donkey Kong ape shit and it was well worth it. Madlib treated his set as a listening session and he treated the crowd to unreleased Dilla joints, collaborations with Mos Def, and previewed tracks from his then unreleased Piñata collaborative project with Freddie Gibbs. Good Times….
